AUTOMOTIVE PARTS DIRECTOR

Bob Tyler Toyota is seeking an experienced and results-driven Automotive Parts Director to oversee the operations of our parts department. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient procurement, inventory management, and sales of automotive parts while delivering outstanding customer service. This leadership position requires strategic thinking, a commitment to excellence, and a deep understanding of the automotive industry.

Responsibilities – Parts Director:

• Lead, mentor, and manage the parts department staff, fostering a high-performance team culture.
• Develop and execute strategies for effective inventory management, ensuring the availability of parts while minimizing excess stock.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate competitive pricing and ensure timely deliveries.
• Drive parts sales by identifying opportunities, implementing marketing initiatives, and monitoring department performance metrics.
• Ensure exceptional service to internal (service department) and external customers, resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
• Develop and manage the department's budget, analyzing financial reports to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications/Requirements – Parts Director: 

• Proven experience in automotive parts management, preferably in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, parts, and inventory control processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to analyze data, develop strategies, and make informed decisions.
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Advanced education or certifications in automotive management is a plus
